If you feel like the Windows built-in tool can’t meet your needs, you can consider using Snagit. You can set shortcuts on the Settings-Game Bar page. How: Press the Windows logo key + G, then click the recording button to record games in the pop-up toolbar.
Images and videos will be saved in the folder “C: Users XXX (user name) Videos Captures”.
In the Windows 10 system, a feature screenshot tool for games is built in to capture images and record videos in games and other software interfaces.
Because they’re on separate adapters, the image of the game cannot be acquired because it’s not available on the device OBS is on. The reason for the OBS black screen under this situation is most likely due to OBS and the game you want to record run on different graphics cards. If you have two graphics cards and one is NVIDIA, you can try this method to solve the problem. If the problem is still there, you can move to the next fix. Then check whether the black screen problem is fixed or not. HOW: Right-click on the OBS icon and select “Run as administrator”. So run OBS as an administrator to fix the problem.
With high integrity access, the OBS can make full use of its features, won’t be blocked by other programs. Some features may be blocked by the Windows system that causes the black screen problem.
I'm streaming from a several year old gaming laptop so it's not exactly optimal, but I haven't found any options to change it from 1080p 60fps, to even 720p 30fps to help with the frame skipping that I get on stream. The only way it's worked so far is through Game Capture. The exact issue comes up in both programs, so I'll summarize: When I try to use the Video Capture Device widget that is recommended be used, nothing shows up on the screen at all, the other options such as Vtube Studio/Facerig cam options appear in the screen awaiting input, but nothing for the Capture Card.
I recently bought an Elgato HD60 S+ to use to primarily stream from my switch.
